I bring over a decade of experience in operations, program management, and skilled trades training coordination to Life Directions. In my role, I work closely with businesses to listen, understand their needs, and help them build workplaces that are diverse, equitable, and inclusive. I also focus on fostering collaboration between employers and the communities in our region, connecting organizations with local talent, resources, and opportunities for meaningful engagement.

My background in stakeholder engagement, project coordination, and workforce development allows me to support both businesses and job seekers, creating sustainable career pathways while helping organizations thrive in a community-focused, inclusive way.

I’m passionate about making connections that empower people, strengthen workplaces, and build stronger communities.

Paul Wagenaar
(he/him)

Career Advisor / Coordinator

As the Coordinator for Life Directions and a Project Management Professional (PMP), I am dedicated to building diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces by bridging the gap between untapped talent and workforces in our communities.

My mission is to empower job seekers who face barriers, providing them with the mentorship and tools needed to secure and sustain meaningful employment. By blending my background in operational Human Resources and strategic leadership with a deep commitment to social advocacy, I help organizations move beyond traditional hiring to create truly accessible cultures.

I believe that when we remove obstacles to participation, we don’t just help individuals find jobs, we build stronger, more resilient communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
