We acknowledge that Life Directions operates on the traditional and treaty territories of the Anishinaabek Nation, including the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Pottawatomi Nations, and within the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the Métis Nation of Ontario.
We specifically recognize the enduring presence and stewardship of the Saugeen First Nation and the Chippewas of Nawash Unceded First Nation (Neyaashiinigmiing), whose territories include the lands and waters of the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula and surrounding areas.
We honour the ongoing presence, knowledge, and leadership of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples who continue to care for these lands. We recognize the importance of respectful relationships, learning, and accountability in how we show up in this territory and community.
