No, we are not a job placement agency.
We don’t place people into jobs. Instead, we:
- Help you prepare for employment
- Support your job search
- Connect you with opportunities when possible
Our focus is on helping you build the skills, confidence, and supports needed for long-term success, not just a quick placement.
You may be eligible if you:
- Are legally able to work in Canada
- Are experiencing barriers to employment (including disability or other life challenges)

No, our core services are funded through the Government of Canada’s Opportunities Fund.
Some optional training (like certifications or driver’s training) may have costs, which we will always explain in advance.

Yes. We can continue supporting you after you’re hired.
This may include:
- Check-ins
- Help with workplace communication
- Support with accommodations
- Problem-solving if challenges come up
Employers / Businesses
We help employers build more inclusive workplaces and stronger teams.
This includes:
- Listening to you and your needs.
- Sponsoring training such as Mental Health First Aid, Standard First Aid.
- Hiring support and candidate connections
- Disability awareness and inclusion training
- Guidance on workplace accommodations
- Ongoing support after hiring
- Helping with training subsidies.
No, we are not a staffing or placement agency.
We don’t fill positions on demand. Instead, we:
- Prepare job seekers for success
- Support inclusive hiring practices
- Help create strong matches when opportunities align
Our goal is long-term success and retention, not quick hires.
Many of our services are free, funded through the Opportunities Fund.
If any costs apply (for example, specialized training), we will clearly outline them in advance.

Life Directions is an employment support program that helps people facing barriers, especially those living with disabilities, prepare for, find, and keep meaningful work.
We also work with employers to build more inclusive workplaces.
We primarily serve Grey, Bruce, and Simcoe counties, but we are not limited to those areas.
If you’re outside the region, reach out, we may still be able to help.
